The dogs and puppies have been taken in by “Save Rocky the Great Dane Rescue and Rehab”, while the raccoon is under the care of Fish and Game officers. These vulnerable creatures are all emaciated from prolonged starvation, and will require extensive treatment to heal from their intense physical and psychological trauma. They won’t be up for adoption due to the ongoing criminal investigation.

Jayla has been arrested on 5 counts of animal cruelty and is now being held at the Itawamba County Jail. She faces up to 6 months of prison time for each count, along with a fine of maximum $1,000. Considering her misdemeanor offense, her bond has been set at $5,000. Let’s make it known that the shameless acts of greedy breeders won’t be tolerated by the society.
