Owner Dumps Pit Bull In A Filthy Canal, Dog Sits In The Same Spot For Days

Two women named Mindy and Danica were driving past a sewage canal in Fresno, California, when the sight of a distressed Pit Bull forced them to pull over, writes ilovemydogsomuch

The abandoned Pit Bull was miserably stranded in the canal, and stood frozen in fear as she struggled to balance herself in the murky water. The canal wall was way too steep for the poor pooch to climb back up. As Mindy and Danica were ill-equipped to rescue the Pit Bull on their own, they desperately started reaching out to other travelers for help.

Gradually, a few more dog lovers stopped to look into the situation. After some quick thinking, they decided to use their belts and dog leashes to fashion a rope. Soon, one of the men grabbed the rope to hop down the steep wall, while the others banded together and held the other end of the rope for support.
