Little Survivor With Broken Pelvis Still Gives Everyone So Much Love

Little Lexie was rescued after being hit by a car. She was taken to Stray Rescue of St. Louis. Despite all her pain, she is the sweetest little thing writes ilovemydogsomuch.tv
She’s only 16 pounds so the fact that she survived is a miracle. According to Stray Rescue of St. Louis, “her pelvis is broken and dislocated” and she needs emergency surgery. They also wrote, “she may need to wear a diaper for the rest of her life.”
Lexie is currently receiving pain medication and a lot of love. She is able to rest but she is not pain-free. She is grateful to be in a safe place where she knows she is cared for. The volunteers rotate to spend time with her so she’s not alone. Her surgery will be extensive, requiring plates and screws. It’ll cost between $4,000-$6,000.
Stray Rescue of St. Louis is in desperate need of donations to help Lexie. After she receives the surgery and is medically cleared, she will go onto a medical foster.
