Mama Watched From A Distance As They Tried Taking The Puppies She Buried
A stray mama fended for herself for about two years out here, and she even gave birth to a litter of puppies during that time, writes ilovemydogsomuch
She dug a hole in the ground and buried them to keep them safe, but they all needed urgent care. And it was Galgos del Sol Animal Rescue who showed up to help!
The dog kept her distance and wouldn’t let anyone approach, so rescuers went for the puppies first. They all took off running, but the slowest one with a leg problem was caught. Galgos del Sol would have to return the next day for the rest, and once they had them gathered up in a crate, they placed it in a trap to try and lure the mother in.
But when that didn’t work, they took the puppies in for care and reassessed how to capture Mama. They would get her to enter the trap for food, and she was then brought in to be reunited with her offspring! They’d stay at the rescue together until ready for adoption, and all of the puppies are currently in their loving forever homes! Galgos del Sol Animal Rescue is setting the sweet mom up with a foster, and it’s a job well done by the team.
