Dumped Dog Walks Into Human Hospital With Something Massive Growing Inside Him
Duke was having a hard time ever since he was abandoned on the streets. While the dog learned to fend for himself, he realized he was experiencing a nagging pain in his chest. Duke had seen sick humans going to hospitals to fix their pain. In his desperation, he found a human hospital and began waiting at the gates in hopes of finding help. Soon, the staff noticed the huge tumor growing inside the dog’s chest and immediately contacted an animal rescue.
After his rescue, Duke was glad to finally find himself in a hospital where he saw other animals getting help. He greeted the vet staff with his hopeful smiles and obediently complied as they ran several tests on him. Sadly, the reports conclusively stated that Duke had Liposarcoma, a malignant tumor that develops from fat tissue.
The vets decided to perform a surgery on this life-threatening tumor. Duke was a brave boy as they took him to the operation room. After hours of surgery, the vets removed a giant 17.6 lbs tumor from his chest!
Duke is recovering well now, and his prognosis looks good. The vets revealed that many people wanted Duke to be put down. But the vets were overwhelmed by the trust Duke placed in them and they didn’t want to let him down! Duke’s story has tugged at the deepest corners of our hearts. We wish him a long and healthy life!
