Thousands Of Shelter Dogs “Write” Letters To Santa Asking For Forever Homes

Several animal shelters in the UK recently joined hands to help their “most unwanted” dogs languishing away at shelters without hope. They began writing “All I want for Christmas” letters to Santa Paws on behalf of the dogs, aimed to help them find their “paw-fect” families. These letters were customized to fit each dog, making it easy for potential adopters to get to know them!

Prominent rescue organizations like Dogs Trust, Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) and the Blue Cross actively led this crusade to find homes for the shelter wards. Many of these overlooked dogs have heart-wrenching background stories, which make these forever-home-seeking letters all the more endearing.

It’s heartbreaking to see people hung up about getting new puppies, when there are so many good boys and girls yearning for homes at shelters. We hope Santa fulfills the wishes of these adorable sweethearts, and they all find families who accept and love them as they are! Let’s spread the word and be the voice for forsaken shelter dogs.
