Tethered To Truck Bed In Blistering Heat, Parasites Ravaged His Frail Body

A dog rescue group in Istanbul, Iran, received a call regarding a dog who was discovered lying on the bed of an old truck, chained up all day in the scorching heat, writes ilovemydogsomuch

“He was physically broken,” Paws 4 Hope wrote. “And when the volunteer went to see him, he didn’t really make any effort to come and say hello. It’s almost like he had given up, and he was just waiting for his time to come.”

The poor abandoned dog was extremely malnourished and very ill from several different tick-borne diseases. He also had missing fur due to a severe dermatologic infection and the hundreds of ticks and fleas all over his body.

He was rushed to the vet, where they began treatment for his skin and diseases. For the first time in his life, this dog was finally receiving the care he needed.

They decided to name him Gol and promised him a much better life from here on out. He has since been adopted by a loving mom who will continue to give him the best care and love him unconditionally.
