Owner Dumped Dog In A Yard 6 Months Ago, But She Still Won’t Let Anyone Touch Her

Shylo the dog was dumped in the backyard of a woman named Cathy, who was known to rescue dogs in downtown LA, writes ilovemydogsomuch

While it was indeed a dirty move by the selfish and irresponsible owner, Cathy did her best to look out for Shylo. The abandoned dog was extremely skittish and wouldn’t let anyone near her, making it hard for Cathy to even touch her.

Cathy initially thought she would let Shylo come out of her shell at her own pace and not stress her out with a forceful rescue. Shylo had all the space she needed in Cathy’s backyard but the aloof pooch grew comfortable with the isolated living arrangement. Just like that, 6 months passed by and Shylo was still super averse to humans.

It was obvious that Shylo had a very traumatic experience with humans before, and she didn’t trust them one bit. Cathy realized that patience and sweet coaxing wouldn’t work for the scarred dog, so she reached out to the rescue group “Hope For Paws” for further help with the grim situation.

Right from the very beginning when the rescuer arrives, we see Shylo’s extreme level of distress as she haphazardly runs around the backyard to escape the man who came to save her. Her avoidant body language is enough to describe her deep-set traumas and fears, and it is frustrating and heartbreaking at the same time.

After several minutes of running hither and thither, the rescuer manages to corner Shylo and appeal to her unapproachable heart.
