Scared Aban.do.ned Dog Didn’t Want Anyone To Come Near Him, Then They Saw His Paw
Fila the Husky mix was just under a year old when he wandered into a family’s property with a red and inflamed paw, writes ilovedogsomuch.
He was in a lot of pain, but not at all keen on trusting any human. When rescuers from “Hope For Paws” arrived to get him to safety, the pup nervously tucked himself into a corner and begged them to go away.
The rescuers understood Fila’s fears and decided to adopt a calm and collected approach to win over the sad boy. They used a cheeseburger to gain his attention, but Fila was still very wary of accepting food from the strangers. However, after a few minutes of coaxing and gentle reassurances, Fila excitedly wagged his tail and munched away at the tasty snack. He then happily settled himself into the crate offered to him!
Fila was taken to the hospital, where an X-ray revealed the presence of foxtails and debris in his infected foot. All the while the vet tended to his injuries, Fila quietly endured the pain with the comforting presence of his caretakers. Despite being the size of a wolf, he had no problem being an adorable lap dog to the awesome bunch of humans who looked out for him!
In over 2 months of treatment, Fila gradually made a grand transition into a handsome and healthy dog. Today, he is a far cry from the scared, skittish pooch he once was. While he is mostly sweet and submissive, he can be quite demanding when it comes to getting his belly rubbed! What a total heart stealer!
