Rescue Dog Overwhelmed By Feral Foster Kittens

10-year-old Nugget has seen a lot in his lifetime, and he’s usually pretty calm in various situations. However, nothing could prepare the poor pup for a group of feral foster kittens, writes blog.theanimalrescuesite.greatergood.

Nuggets’ owner works for the SPCA in Belmont, New York, so she’s used to taking in foster kittens.

Anyone who has fostered kittens knows just how spunky and energetic they can be. Cats are quite a handful, and feral fosters are a whole other ballgame.

The old dog just wasn’t prepared for their level of curiosity and playfulness. In an adorable video shared with ViralHog, you can see the kittens walking up to Nugget where he laid in his dog bed.

His owner explained that Nugget is a rescue dog, but despite that, he’s “fairly calm and non-reactive.” She thought he’d be the perfect animal to socialize the new kittens with.

The little dog began to look uncomfortable as soon as a few of the kittens neared his bed. He seemed unsure what to do, but he knew he wanted away from the furry little felines!

As soon as he saw an exit, he took it and booked it for his mom. She told, “good boy.”
